PVC Plastic Surfaces
PVC plastics are used in many construction materials around the house and often there is a need to paint these plastics.
SURFACES:
New Surfaces
Unpainted plastics
Treatment
- Either sand surface gently or apply Sparcolux Metal Primer.
- Apply topp coat with anyone of our Sparcolux range of Wall & Ceiling paints.
Previously painted surfaces
Painted previously with either emulsion or solvent based paint
Treatment
- If current paint is in poor condition, remove completely
- Ensure surface is clean and dry
- Where solvent based coat, simply apply new paint directly
- With water based PVA coating, assess for chalkiness. If chalky apply Keybond, otherwise apply topcoat.
