Water Based Plaster Primer

Sparcolux Plaster Primer is a quick drying, water based primer and sealer for interior and exterior cement, gypsum and masonry surfaces. This Alkali resistant plaster primer penetrates the substrate for optimum adhesion and allows the underlying surface to breathe and expel moisture. 

Sparcolux water based plaster primer offers excellent obliteration, resists peeling and efflorescence, is easy to apply and clean with a low odour.

Once primed, two coats of any of our range of Sparcolux Wall and Ceiling Paints, and your project will be complete!

  • New plaster or concrete surfaces must cure for a minimum of 28 days before priming.

Cleaning 

Water 

  • Remove all loose / flaking material with a high-pressure cleaner, scraper or wire brush.
  • Sand smooth any glossy surfaces. Treat algae or fungi prior to painting. Thoroughly clean any surface contaminants with Sugar Soap.
  • If painting on plaster or concrete fill all holes and cracks prior painting.
