Sparcolux Gloss Enamel is a top quality, high-gloss alkyd enamel that provides a decorative and protective finish on numerous surfaces. This Gloss Enamel is easily washable and dries to a tough, durable finish that offers excellent weather resistance. This product is scratch and scuff resistant making it ideal for trims, windows, doors and interior walls.

Use on new or painted plaster, cement, fibre-cement, composition boarding, wood, brick or metal that have been suitably primed and undercoated.

  • SURFACE PREPARATION

    Ensure that surfaces are dry, sound, and free from dust, dirt, grease and oil before painting.

    Fill imperfections with Filler.

    NEW SURFACES:
    Cement Plaster, Gypsum Plaster (Rhinolite, etc), Gypsum Board (Rhinoboard, etc ), Fibre Cement, Unglazed Brick:
    Prime with Sparcolux Solvent-based Plaster Primer. Apply a full coat to seal surface properly.

    Wooden Surfaces:
    Seal knots with knot seal. Prime with Sparcolux Wood Primer following relevant preparation.

    Mild Steel:
    Prime with Sparcolux Metal Primer following relevant preparation guidelines.

    Galvanised Iron:
    Prime with Sparcolux Galvanised Iron Primer following relevant preparation guidelines.

    Plastic/PVC Downpipes:
    Sand gently and prime with Sparcolux Metal Primer. Apply a full coat to seal surface properly.

    PREVIOUSLY PAINTED:
    Good condition:
    Clean with sugar soap, rinse with water and  sand glossy enamel areas to matt finish. Prime bare masonry areas with Sparcolux Solvent Based Plaster Primer.

    Poor condition:
    Remove loose paint either physically (scraper, wire brush, etc) or, if required use a paint stripper. Rinse well with water and allow to dry. Fill imperfections with Polyfilla

    Undercoat:
    Once all surfaces have been correctly prepared and primed, apply a coat of Sparcolux Universal Undercoat.
