Sparcolux Stoep Paint is a high quality, single-pack enamel suited for interior and exterior use, and is ideal for cured concrete or cement floors and window sills. 

This low-sheen Stoep Paint dries to a durable and hard-wearing enamel that is scuff and abrasion resistant. This product is ideal for light traffic floors, such as verandahs, balconies, porches, patios, stairs and even window sills. This product is easily cleaned and can be polished with a good quality wax.

  • SURFACE PREPARATION:

    Ensure that surfaces are dry and clean of dust and dirt and specifically 100% free of grease, polish, bitumen, adhesive and oil before application. Where necessary use a degreaser, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.


    NEW SURFACES:
    All Concrete and cement flooring should be protected by suitable damp coursing and sufficiently cured. New concrete should be cured for 4 weeks and surfaces should be dry (moisture content less than 5%) before painting. 

    Acid-wash where high alkalinity is detected. Wash floor with a 10% hydrochloric acid (in water) solution, exercising extreme caution. Protect eyes and skin using protective equipment. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. 

    Wood Floated
    Remove any high points with a carborundum block and thoroughly vacuum clean away all dust. 

    Steel Floated
    Rough smooth areas and remove any laitance. Sand down any high points with a carborundum block. Vacuum clean to remove all dust. 


    PREVIOUSLY PAINTED:
    Good condition:
    Remove any loose, flaky paint. Ensure that surfaces are dry, clean and 100% free of grease, polish, bitumen, adhesive and oil before application. Where necessary use a degreaser, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.

    Poor condition:
    Strip completely as required.
